•Tocongurenetworksettings,youmustbeloggedinwithadministrativerightssuchas“Administrator”
account.Werecommendthatyournetworkadministratorcongurethenetworksettings.
1.SpecifytheEthernetframetypeforcommunicationbetweentheprinterandcomputers.

2.SpecifytheNetWareprintservices,includingtheprintserverandqueue.

Afteryouhavecompletedthestepsabove,congureeachcomputerforprintingoverthe
NetWarenetwork.
4.ConnecttotheNetWarenetwork.
InstallNetWareclientsoftwareoneachcomputertobeusedforprintingoverthenetwork,and
logintotheNetWareserverortree.Forinstructionsonconnection,refertotheNetWareand
operatingsystemdocumentation.
5.Installtheprinterdriver.
Followtheinstructionsofyournetworkadministratortoinstalltheprinterdriveroneachcomputer
tobeusedforprinting.Wheninstallingtheprinterdriver,chooseNetworkPrinterastheprinter
destination,andthenchoosetheprintqueuecreatedfromtheNetWareprintservicesettings.
6.Followthesestepstoconguretheprinterport.Thisstepisnotnecessaryifyouspeciedthe
printerdestinationduringinstallationoftheprinterdriver.
1.OpenthePrintersandFaxes(orPrinters)window.
2.Right-clicktheprintericonandchooseProperties.
3.ClickthePort(orAdvanced)tabtodisplaythePort(orAdvanced)sheet.
4.Asthedestinationport,specifytheprintqueuecreatedbyconguringtheNetWareprintservice
settings.
