Cisco 7300 Series
Modular Access Routers
The Cisco 7300 Series Internet Router is designed for the network edge, where high
performance IP services are required to enable profitability, service differentiation,
and business agility. Utilizing a compact, modular form factor, the Cisco 7300 Series
delivers high-touch IP services at optical speeds necessary for high-end enterprise
applications. The Cisco 7300 Series delivers an evolving set of hardware accelerated
IP services via the Cisco patented Parallel eXpress Forwarding (PXF) IP Services
Processor technology. Providing a range of IP connectivity from T3 to Gigabit
Ethernet/OC-48, engineered for high availability and multi-protocol support, the
Cisco 7300 is the optical evolution of Cisco System's mid-range routers.
Compact and Flexible
The Cisco 7300 is a 4-RU platform with four port
adapter (PA) slots per chassis. This compact form
factor reduces capital and operational expendi-
tures as well as enabling "pay as you grow"
deployment to reduce upfront capital
investment.
High-performance IP
Service Application
The Cisco 7300 Series includes the award-
winning PXF IP processor technology for
hardware-accelerated services such as Cisco
Express Forwarding (CEF), NetFlow v8, Turbo
access control lists (ACL), packet classification
and marking, and low latency queuing (LLQ).
Furthermore, the NSE-100 Network Services
Engine offers 3.5Mpps of forwarding
performance.
High Availability/High Productivity
With a redundant NSE-1 route processor and
redundant AC/DC power supplies, the Cisco 7300
provides 24/7 network access for your
employees, ensuring a productive and efficient
work environment year-round.
