CAUTION: To prevent static damage to
components inside your computer,
discharge static electricity from your body
before you touch any of your computer’s
electronic components. You can do so by
touching an unpainted metal surface on
the computer chassis.

Remove the computer cover.

Rotate the cover release knob in a
clockwise direction, as shown in
the figure.

Slide the computer cover forward
1 cm (0.5 inch), or until it stops,
and then raise the cover.
