2000 and do not know the IP address of the print server. How can I access the web-based
configuration utility?
Unfortunately Windows
®
2000 does not support UPnP and the print server does not have a default IP address. You
must connect the print server to a network with a DHCP server or a router/gateway that has DHCP enabled. You can
obtain the IP address of the print server by accessing the DHCP log in your router or server.
Most D-Link routers will have a similar DHCP log page.
1. With the power off, connect the print server to your network using an Ethernet cable. Connect the power adapter
to the print server. On the bottom of the print server, write down the 12-character MAC address (E.G. 00-34-A5-
6B-FF-23).
2. From a computer, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer and enter the IP address of your router (E.G.
192.168.0.1). Enter your username and password.
3. For most D-Link routers, click on the Home tab and then click DHCP on the left. The DHCP table will be listed
at the bottom. If you have a DIR-series router, go to Setup > Network Settings and scroll to the bottom.
4. Find the MAC address in the list that matches the MAC address of the print server. The IP address will be
listed.
5. Now you may access the web-based configuration utility of the print server. Just enter the IP address into your
web browser.
