Apple
Macintosh
PrimeraPro for the Macintosh is designed to be
used with any Apple Macintosh supporting Color
QuickDraw. The FARGO driver uses AppleÕs 32 bit
Color QuickDraw graphics language to generate
its printed color images, and can produce high-
resolution prints with accurate formatting in up to
16.7 million colors per page. The driver cannot be
used on the Macintosh Plus, SE, or Classic because
these models do not support Color QuickDraw.
Minimum System Requirements
8 Mb of memory. The speed of the driver is
increased with more memory.
A hard disk drive with at least 5 Mb of space
free.
System software 6.0.3 or higher. The FARGO
driver is compatible with Kanji System Software,
and can print Japanese and other two-byte
character sets.
Recommended
16 Mb or more of memory.
System software 7.0 or higher.
A hard disk drive with at least 50Mb of space free.
Adobe Type Managerª and/or System 7
TrueTypeª fonts. These can be used with the
FARGO driver to produce high-quality text.
PrimeraPro can either be connected directly to
your MacintoshÕs printer port or to your
AppleTalkª Network. If connecting directly to a
Macintosh, use a standard serial cable with an 8
pin mini-DIN connection on each end. If
connecting to an AppleTalk Network, use any
LocalTalk connector that is compatible with your
specific network. If you wish to connect
PrimeraPro to an Ethernet Network, optional
interface adapters are available from your dealer or
directly from FARGO for Twisted Pair Apple
Ethernet or for Thin Coax Apple Ethernet.
