Unpacking the server

4.1 Unpacking the server
V CAUTION!
Follow the safety instructions in "Safety instructions" on page 23.
The server must always be lifted or carried by at least two people.
(For the Japanese market, please refer to " 安全上の注意 ".)
Do not unpack the server until it is at its installation location.
Ê Transport the server to the place where you want to set it up.
Ê Unpack all individual parts.
Keep the original packaging in case you want to transport the server again
(applies only to EMEA market).
Ê Check the delivery for any damage during transport.
Ê Check whether the items delivered match the details on the delivery note.
The product name and serial number of the product can be found on the ID card
(see section "ID card" on page 44).
Ê Notify your supplier immediately should you discover that the items delivered
do not correspond to the delivery note.
4.2 Installing the Server Blade in the system
unit
V CAUTION!
● Note the safety instructions and the information on handling
electrostatically sensitive devices in section "Safety instructions" on
page 23.
● Note the population rules for power supply units and fan modules to
ensure sufficient cooling of the system. You will find more detailed
information on this in the operating manual for the BX900 S1 system
unit.
