Replacing the diskette drive

11 Carefully insert the small flat-blade screwdriver between the diskette drive
cable and the black plastic hinge where the cable connects to the system
board. Gently lift the hinge off the cable. The cable is now free.
12 Make sure that the black plastic hinge on the system board diskette drive
connector is in the raised position.
13 Insert the end of the diskette drive cable between the black plastic hinge
and the white connector.
14 Press the black plastic hinge onto the diskette drive cable.
15 Replace the three screws that secure the diskette drive to the notebook.
16 Reassemble the notebook.
Important The cable is oriented correctly if it is twisted with the blue
side visible.
