Remove the battery.
IMPORTANT: Replacing the system board battery resets the system ROM to its default
configuration. After replacing the battery, reconfigure the system through RBSU.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
System board
To remove the component:
1.
Power down the server blade (on page 23).
2.
Remove the server blade (on page 23).
3.
Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 24).
4.
Remove all hard drive blanks ("Hard drive blank" on page 25).
5.
Remove the cache module battery pack ("Cache module battery pack" on page 31), if installed.
6.
Remove all hard drives:
o
Hot-plug SAS drive ("Hard drive" on page 25).
o
Solid state drive (on page 26).
7.
Remove the SAS controller ("SAS controller" on page 29), if installed.
8.
Remove the front panel/hard drive cage assembly ("Front panel/hard drive cage assembly" on
page 33).
9.
Remove the DIMM baffles ("DIMM baffle" on page 27).
10.
Remove all DIMMs ("DIMM" on page 27).
11.
Remove any installed mezzanine cards ("Mezzanine card" on page 28).
12.
Remove the heatsink ("Heatsink" on page 35).
