READ MEDIA SERIAL NUMBER ABh
READ MEDIA SERIAL NUMBER provides a method for the host application to read the serial number
of the cartridge currently loaded in the drive.

If there is no cartridge in the drive, the command is terminated with CHECK CONDITION status. The
sense key is set to
NOT READY with additional sense of 3A00h (medium not present).
Returned data:
The data returned depends on whether a barcode number has been stored in the LTO-CM using
the
WRITE ATTRIBUTE command. Storing this is the responsibility of the library controller or host
application.
