Operating the workstation blade
WS460c installation process overview
This chapter describes the following process to install, power on, boot and validate the HP Workstation
Blade Solution:
1. Set up the client computer.
2. Install and power on the first workstation blade by performing these steps:
a. Prepare the blade enclosure and the networking infrastructure.
b. Configure the workstation blade hardware.
c. Install the workstation blade into the enclosure and then boot the operating system.
3. Configure the operating system.
4. Verify network connections to the workstation blade Ethernet ports: NIC1, NIC2, and iLO 2.
5. Install RGS on the workstation blade, and then verify RGS operation between the workstation blade
and the client computer.
6. Install the required applications on the workstation blade.
7. Validate the solution consisting of the workstation blade, the applications, RGS, and the client
computer.
You can integrate other workstation blades and client computers into the solution.
