Site Hazard Considerations
Hewlett Packard recommends the following environmental and
mechanical factors for review and compliance prior to installation of
equipment.

- Manufacturer’s maximum recommended ambient temp.
1. Elevated Operating Ambient Temp. - If installed in a multi-unit
rack assembly, consider air conditioning or ventilation to avoid
exceeding 85° F.
2. Reduced Air Flow - Installation of equipment in a rack should be
such that the amount of air flow required for safe operation is not
compromised.
3. Mechanical Loading - Mounting of equipment in a rack should be
such that no hazard exists due to uneven mechanical loading.

5. Reliable Earthing - Please refer to the topic “Safety Grounding
Procedures” on page 23.
