Note: A PostScript Printer
Description (PPD) file
provides detailed
information about the
capabilities of a printer to
your UNIX or Macintosh
computers.
• Install a custom PostScript Printer Description (PPD) file.
A custom PPD can be found on the drivers CD that shipped with

A PPD for your printer is also available in a downloadable
software package from Lexmark’s Web site at
www.lexmark.com.
• Create a desktop printer icon (Mac OS 8.6–9.x) or create a
queue in Print Center (Mac OS X).
