There may also be an On/Off switch on the power supply, located in the
back of the expansion system. Make sure the power supply switch is in
the ‘On’ position before powering up.
When powering up, pay close attention to the eight LEDs on the 64-bit
Host Interface and the eight LEDs on the rear panel of the expansion
system.
All LEDs must be solid
green before the system will
function properly. If any LED is not solid green, power off the
system and check that the RJ45 connectors are seating properly
and connected to the correct port before powering up again.
WARNING
The expansion system will not work properly or may not be recognized
by the host computer unless all LEDs on the Host Interface and rea
r
panel are solid green.
Ensure that you have connected the cables properly by referring to the
diagram in
Step Two
.
Step Five: Install Software Driver/Verify Installation
NOTE
Only Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2000 users need to instal
l
the 64-bit/66MHz PCI Expansion Driver. All other operating systems
should automatically detect the PCI Expansion System and configure
properly.
