Appendix A – Regulatory Compliance

FCCPart15ClassBStatements

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuantto47

CFRPart15regulations.Thestatedlimitsinthisregulationaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotection

againstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,uses,andcanradiateradio

frequencyenergy,andifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycauseharmful

interferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurina

particularinstallation.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,which

canbedeterminedbyturningtheequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrectthe

interferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:

• Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.

• Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.

• Plugtheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiverisconnected.

• Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp.

ThisdevicecomplieswithPart15oftheCFR47rules.Operationofthisdeviceissubjecttothefollowing

conditions:(1)Thisdevicemaynotcaus e harmfulinterference,and(2)thisdevicemustacceptanyinterference

thatmaycauseundesiredoperation.

1. Thisequipmentcomplieswithpart68oftheFederalCommunicationsCommissionRules.Ontheoutsidesurfaceof

thisequipmentisalabelthatcontains,amongotherinformation,theFCCregistrationnumber.Thisinformationmust

beprovidedtothetelephonecompany.

2. ThesuitableUSOCjack(UniversalServiceOrderCodeconnectingarrangement)forthisequipmentisshownbelow.If

applicable,thefacilityinterfacecodes(FIC)andserviceordercodes(SOC)areshown.

3. AnFCC‐complianttelephonecordandmodularplugisprovidedwiththisequipment.Thisequipmentisdesignedto

beconnectedtothetelephonenetworkorpremiseswiringusingacompatiblemodularjackthatisPart68compliant.

Seeinstallationinstructionsfordetails.

4. Theringerequivalencenumber(REN)isusedtodeterminethenumberofdevicesthatmaybeconnectedtothe

telephoneline.ExcessiveRENsonthetelephonelinemayresultinthedevicenotringinginresponsetoanincoming

call.Inmost,butnotall,areasthesumoftheRENsshouldnotexceed5.0.Tobecertainofthenumberofdevicesthat

maybeconnectedtotheline,asdeterminedbythetotalRENs,contactthelocaltelephonecompany.

5. Ifthisequipmentcausesharmtothetelephonenetwork,thetelephonecompanywillnotifyyouinadvancethat

temporarydiscontinuanceofservicemayberequired.Butifadvancenoticeisnotpractical,thetelephonecompany

willnotifyyouassoonaspossible.Also,youwillbeadvisedofyourrighttofileacomplaintwiththeFCCifyoubelieve

itisnecessary.

6. Thetelephonecompanymaymakechangesinitsfacilities,equipment,operations,orproceduresthatcouldaffect

theoperationoftheequipment.Ifthishappens,thetelephonecompanywillprovideadvancenoticeinorderforyou

tomakenecessarymodificationsinordertomaintainuninterruptedservice.
