take‐backelectronicsproductsattheendoftheirusefullife.AsisterDirective,ROHS(RestrictionofHazardous
Substances)complementstheWEEEDirectivebybanningthepresenceofspecifichazardoussubstancesinthe
productsatthedesignphase.TheWEEEDirectivecoversallMulti‐TechproductsimportedintotheEUasof
August13,2005.EU‐basedmanufacturers,distributors,retailersandimportersareobligedtofinancethecosts
ofrecoveryfrommunicipalcollectionpoints, reuse,andrecyclingofspecifiedpercentagespertheWEEE
requirements.
InstructionsforDisposalofWEEEbyUsersintheEuropeanUnion
Thesymbolshownbelowisontheproductoronitspackaging,whichindicatesthatthisproductmustnotbe
disposedofwithotherwaste.Instead,itistheuser’sresponsibilitytodisposeoftheirwasteequipmentby
handingitovertoadesignatedcollectionpointfortherecyclingofwasteelectricalandelectronicequipment.
Theseparatecollectionandrecyclingofyourwasteequipmentatthetimeofdisposalwillhelptoconserve
naturalresourcesandensurethatitisrecycledinamannerthatprotectshumanhealthandtheenvironment.
