Modifying the list of well-known ports
The ports.properties file contains a list of ports known to be used
by various protocols. This is used in the ASEM application where a list of
such ports is useful. This list can be edited in a simple text editor to add or
delete ports. For a list of well-known ports, refer Nortel Application Switch

To modify the ports.properties file, perform the following procedure:

Open the ports.properties file in a text editor. This file is
located in <ASEM installation directory>/properties.

All entries in the file are listed in the following format:
Protocol=Port
Edit the file as appropriate using the format listed above.
Note: Editing the ports.properties file can have an adverse
affect on the application. Ensure all changes to this file are
intended before saving them.
3 Save the changes made to the file. These changes are displayed
the next time the application is started.
