Pressure sensitive or carbon backed papers
Paper with excessive curl

Freshly printed copies from a laser printer
Originals with fresh White-Out (Liquid paper correction fluid)
NOTE
During copying and after making copies, the fan motor may start spinning. This is a normal
operation, and is used to cool down the copier.
