Auto Upgrade
The SmartLink M-ATA family includes a configuration and firmware download manager server that allows for
the updating of large numbers of SmartLink M-ATAs from a central location. By factory default, all SmartLink
M-ATA units are set with auto-update on and to access the Patton auto-update server. Many of Patton’s car-
rier customers have chosen to setup their own auto-update server to provide service specific information for
their end users. Patton recommends that end users do not change the auto-update server or set “Enable auto-
upgrade” to “NO” without consulting with their service provider.
