Chapter 1: Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the MediaFlex 2900 Multimedia Access Point (MF2900 AP). The
MF2900 AP is a device that enables wireless multimedia networking for video, voice and data, without
replacing existing routers, network adapters and media receivers.
A typical installation consists of a Ruckus Wireless, Inc. MediaFlex 2900 Multimedia Access Point
connected to a DSL router or cable modem. The MF2900 AP sends wireless signals to MediaFlex 2501
Multimedia Wireless Adapter or other adapter that is connected to a set top box. Video, data and voice traffic
are distributed amongst TV, video appliances, and other wireless-enabled home entertainment appliances.
