■ Donotwalkonthepowercordorallowanythingtorest
on it.
■ Donotspillanythingonthesystem.Thebestwayto
avoidspillsistonoteatordrinknearyoursystem.
■ SomeproductshaveareplaceableCMOSbatteryon
thesystemboard.Thereisadangerofexplosionif
theCMOSbatteryisreplacedincorrectly.Replacethe
batterywiththesameorequivalenttyperecommended
bythemanufacturer.
Disposeofbatteriesaccordingtothemanufacturers
instructions.IftheCMOSbatteryrequiresreplacement
insurethataqualiedtechnicianperformsthetask.
■ Whenthecomputeristurnedoff,asmallamountof
electricalcurrentstillowsthroughthecomputer.
Toavoidelectricalshock,alwaysunplugallpower
cables,removethebatteryandmodemcablesfrom
thewalloutletsbeforecleaningthesystem.
■ Unplugthesystemfromthewalloutletandrefer
servicingtoqualiedpersonnelif:
–Thepowercordorplugisdamaged.
–Liquidhasbeenspilledintothesystem.
–Thesystemdoesnotoperateproperlywhentheoperating
