Using Video chat plugged into Skype(TM)
With Video chat plugged into Skype(TM), you can make free voice or video calls using your Skype Account with
your tablet device via the Internet to friends and family around the world.
When you start Video chat plugged into Skype on your tablet device, use an account you already have or create
a new account from your tablet device.
To start voice or video calls, tap [ Apps] at the top right of the Home screen to display the application
launcher, and then select [ Video chat plugged into Skype] to sign in.
You can also make reasonably priced calls to landlines or mobile phones that are not using Video chat plugged
into Skype.
Note
Sony recommends that you use via the wired headset certified by Skype for better quality of the phone call.
The headsets are available in Skype(TM) Shop (http://shop.skype.com/).
This application is not pre-installed. You need to download it yourself from Android Market(TM) after
purchasing.
Video/Voice calls on Video chat plugged into Skype use a large volume of data for communications.
Communications quality may be poor or video calls may be disabled depending on the communications
environment.
This application supports ONLY A2DP profile in Bluetooth connection.
When you switch between 3G and Wi-Fi connection while communicating on Video chat plugged into Skype,
the communicating session will be closed.
When “Skype” app provided by Skype is installed on the tablet device, Video chat plugged into Skype cannot
start.
To use Video chat plugged into Skype, you need to uninstall the genuine “Skype” app.
