Operation
The scanner does not
scan the programming
bar codes in this PRG.
• For MCL-Designer generated applications, put the scanner
into “Scan Parameter” mode in the system menu (see Scan
Parameters on page 3-14).
• For the default application running on a previous version of
firmware (Revision F or lower, such as E), put the scanner
into “Scan Parameter” mode in the system menu (see Scan
Parameters on page 3-14). For instructions on how to
check the scanner’s firmware version, see Version on page
3-15.
The PC cannot download
an application to the
scanner.
• Check to make sure you are using an RS-232 cable. The
application can not be downloaded to a scanner using a
Synapse cable.
• Make sure the scanner and cradle are successfully paired.
• Check to make sure the power supply is connected to the
base.
• If the problem continues, cycle power to the base (powered
off then on).
Received an 015
communication error
while using a Synapse
cable.
• The cables connected to the cradle were not connected in
the correct sequence. Before power is applied to the cradle,
the Synapse cable must be connected to the cradle AND
the flying power lead plugged in. See Using A Synapse
Cable on page 2-3 for more information
The P370 ALR scanner
will not pair with a PL370
cradle.
• To pair a long range P370 ALR scanner with a PL370
cradle, attach the spare pairing bar code label to the cradle
and scan the bar code. For additional information, see
Pairing the Scanner with the Cradle on page 2-6.
