SCAN-TO-FILE/SCAN-TO-ELECTRONIC
FILING (e-Filing)
The e-STUDIO3511/4511 can be used as a network scanner. Users
can scan documents or images in either black & white or full-
color, convert them into electronic form, and share them over the
network. The scanned images are initially stored on machine’s
hard disk or the e-Filing box, which users create on the hard disk,
in JPEG (color/grayscale) or MMR (black & white) format. Users
can retrieve the scanned documents or images, as follows:
Scan-to-file — Is used to transfer images to a specified folder
created on a client PC or file server directly and can also be
saved on machine’s hard disk then transferred using the SMB
protocol or FTP.
Scan-to-e-Filing — Is used to store scanned images in the
electronic filing (e-Filing) box, which users create on the hard
disk. Users can access the e-Filing box and retrieve scanned
images using the TWAIN driver or “File Downloader”
free application.
SCAN-TO-EMAIL
‘Scan-to-Email’ is another convenient method to transfer scanned
images to clients. Scanned images are transmitted to specified
destinations as attached files via the mail server. Users can
pre-program destination email addresses, an email subject,
sender’s name, main body text, and select the attached file
format. Users can also enter the destination email addresses
manually for each operation. The e-
STUDIO3511/4511 can send email
attachments up to 30 MB in size. This allows easy transmission of
large-sized complex full-color images to remote parties by email.
