Stand-Alone Mode The mode in which 3820TX tablet thin client is not connected to the host
computer or the Internet but is running the Windows CE operating system
and other pocket programs.
Static IP A number assigned to the host computer to be its permanent address on the
Internet. Computers use IP addresses to locate and talk to each other on the
Internet.
Stylus The pen-like device with a special soft tip, that allows you to input data on
the touchscreen.
Touchscreen The 3820TX tablet thin client screen, which allows you to input data on
command by touching the screen with a stylus.
USB device port Port on the side of 3820TX tablet thin client where a USB mouse or
keyboard attach. You do not have to configure or restart the 3820TX tablet
thin client to begin using the USB device.
WAN Wide Area network. A data communications system covering a large
geographic area, usually digital circuits having moderate to high data rates
(56 kbps up to 384 kbps).

Wireless LAN Wireless Local Area Network, through which the 3820TX tablet thin client
communicates with the host computer.
