Loading the documents
You can load up to 50 documents from 16 lb. (64
gsm) to 32 lb. (128 gsm) into the DADF.

Remove any paper clips or staples from the
documents. Align the documents.

Place the documents face up onto the DADF Tray,
as illustrated in Figure 3. Slide the documents to
the left until the green Document Feed Lamp
lights.
If the lamp does not light, readjust the alignment
and/or the placement of the documents until the
lamp lights.

Slide the document guide toward the stack of
documents until the guide lightly touches the side
edges of the documents, as illustrated in Figure 4.
If the document guide is set too tight, the
documents may not feed or may become
damaged. If the guide is set too loose, the
documents may skew as they feed, which could
cause a document jam.
