Using Disk Drives

Backing Up the Operating System on Floppy
Disk
If you have not already done so, you need to
make a full backup of your operating system
onto floppy disks.
q Windows 95 requires approximately 30
floppy disks
q MS-DOS and Windows for Workgroups
require approximately 17 floppy disks
Back Up Your Programs and Personal Data
The amount of programs and data on the old
hard disk drive may prohibit backing up to
floppy disk, so you may need another way to
back up the remaining information on the old
hard disk drive.
Use one of the following ways to back up the
programs and data.
q Another computer -- Use TranXit software
to back up the data to another computer. If
you do this, make sure you created a
TranXit disk when backing up the operating
system.
q Server -- If your computer is connected to a
network, back up the data to a server.
