5.4.7 Lamp Test
This facility is used to check the LED’s and the LCD display.
To activate the test choose the item T > Lamp Test
Pressing SELECT will cause a complete line of blocks to show on the LCD. Simultaneously all the LED's
should light up, for about 3 seconds. On completion, the LCD will return to the display above.
5.4.8 Self Test
The Self Test facility does some simple checks on the EPROM and the EEPROM and is activated in two
ways :
(1) With initial power on.
(2) By user selection in the test menu.
The power on displays are a shorter version of menu activated Self Test and are as follows :
1. Testing
2. Self Test Pass
3. AM64128A V1.0
Self Test is activated in the menu by selecting: T > Self Test
Menu activated self test displays a few more details:
1. EPROM Test (This is a break down of the testing procedure in step 1 above)
2. EEPROM Test
3. Blocks Used 000
4. Interface Test Checks the details of the interface module fitted.
5. Self Test Pass or in the case of failure: EPROM Fail
or EEPROM Csum Fail or EEPROM Fail

The EEPROM is designed to be sufficient for the expected life time of the BBM, (2 x 10

write operations).
