The drive motor operates on 12VDC and rotates
the spindle at 300 RPM through a belt—drive
system. The motor speed is controlled by a
feed—back from a tachometer inside the motor. A
registration hub clamp that moves in conjunction
with the door closure mechanism centers and
clamps the diskette onto the spindle hub.
