4.4 USING THE LCD
The LCD displays messages concerning network statistics and diagnostic
information such as Power-up diagnostics, Revision levels, MAC and IP
addresses, and Error alerts.
Depending on the type of message, the message may be displayed on the
LCD as an incident occurs, or saved and displayed later by using the
DISPLAY button. The LCD and the DISPLAY button are shown in
Figure 4-3.

The following five types of messages are displayed on the LCD:
• Initialization Messages *
• Static System Messages
• Alarm Messages
• System Messages
• Failure or Error Messages *
*These messages are displayed as an associated event occurs and are not
saved to be displayed later using the DISPLAY button.
