A.2.4 AUI Cable Requirements for the EPIM-A and EPIM-X
To connect an external network segment to the SEH (via an EPIM-A or
EPIM-X), the AUI cable must meet the following requirements:
AUI Cable
The cable between the module and device must be IEEE 802.3 type cable.
Length
The AUI Cable must not exceed 50 meters in length. If 28 AWG thin
office drop cable is used, the maximum length is 15.24 meters (50 feet).
Grounding
The connector shells of the EPIM-A and EPIM-X connect to ground.
