Currency exchange function
When <CE> (currency exchange key) is pressed, a current subtotal including tax is converted directly into
foreign currency and the result is displayed, and the subsequent finalization is handled using the foreign
currency. The currency exchange function is released by finalizing a transaction, partial tender operation,
receipt issuance, or by pressing <SUBTOTAL>.
Before using the currency exchange function, it is necessary to program the conversion rate.
Registering foreign currency
Full amount tender in foreign currency
* Pre-programmed exchange rate: ¥ 100 = $0.9524
Important!
Tenders in a foreign currency can be registered using the a and k only.
Other finalize keys cannot be used.
OPERATION DISPLAY RECEIPT
5 Enter the unit price and press the
applicable department key.
5 Enter the next unit price and press
the applicable department key.
5 Press
E and s without en-
tering a numeric value. This op-
eration converts the subtotal (in-
cluding tax) dollar value into yen
by applying a pre-programmed ex-
change rate. The result is shown
on the display and printed on the
receipt/journal by programming.
5 Enter the amount tendered in yen
and press
E. This operation
converts the entered yen amount
into dollars by applying a pre-
programmed exchange rate. The
result is shown on the display.
5 Press to finalize the transaction.
Note that you do not need to reen-
ter the dollar amount.
The register automatically calcu-
lates the change amount due in
dollars and shows it on the dis-
play, receipts and journal.
