Appendix D: RS-485/422 Option
Introduction
You may order the ACM/Flex16 external module with RS-
485/422 Serial Line Interface Modules (SLIM). The RS-485/422
SLIM offers the following features:
DIP switch selectable line load and bias options.
Each SLIM controls four ports.
LEDs on the ACM/Flex16 indicate the electrical interface in
use for a specific group of four ports.
SLIMs are field upgradeable, providing you with more
flexibility for your application.
Please refer to Figure 15 for a partial schematic of the RS-
485/422 SLIM.
