RS-232 (DB9) Pin Specification
The RS-232 serial port of the switch uses a 9-pin female connector. The port
can be connected to a VT-100 type terminal, a PC, or a workstation
emulating a VT-100 terminal. The connection can be either local, or remote
through a modem. For a remote connection, a modem cable with a 9-pin
male connector on the switch side is needed. The figures below show the
connections necessary for local and remote connection to 9-pin and 25-pin
RS-232 devices.
