Initialization
There are two kinds of initialization methods-hardware and
software .
Hardware
l The power is turned on.
initialization
l An INIT signal at the parallel interface is received.
Software
initialization
The ESC @ command is received.
Hardware initialization —
When the printer is initialized, the
following functions are performed.
1. The printer mechanism is initialized.
2. Input data buffer is cleared.
3. User-defined character set is cleared.
4. Print buffer is cleared.
5. Default values are set.
Software initialization
— Printer initialization by the ESC @
command does not perform functions 1, 2, and 3 above. The
settings changed by the last control panel operation are reset.
