Perform only if you have a streak on the printed
output that canÕt be solved by the Standard Head
Cleaning procedure.
1. Open the printerÕs top cover with the Cover
Release Lever.
2. Remove the Ribbon Cartridge from the printer.
3. Use a soft, lint-free cloth soaked lightly with
isopropyl alcohol to wipe off the surface of the
print head. Be extremely careful not to use too
much alcohol; it must not be allowed to drip into
the printer.
4. Allow the print head to thoroughly dry before
re-installing the Ribbon Cartridge.
5. Re-install the Ribbon Cartridge and shut the
cover. If a streak persists, Contact FARGO
Technical Support for further assistance (see
Section 11 for Technical Support information).
As a cleaning option, you may wish to purchase a
PrimeraPro Print Head Cleaning Kit from your
local dealer or from FARGO. This kit includes pre-
moistened pads that are ideal for regular print
head cleaning.

D. Cleaning the
PrinterÕs Case
Your PrimeraPro has a durable PVC plastic casing
that should retain its luster and appearance for
many years. Clean it only with a soft cloth slightly
dampened with water or a mild soap. Do not use
excess water or cleaning solvents of any kind.
Never spray the cabinet with a cleaner. Rather,
spray the cloth first and then wipe down the
printer.

As you use your PrimeraPro, dust and paper
particles will accumulate inside the printerÕs case.
These particles are attracted to the underside of the
ribbon by static produced during printing and can
cause voids on the printed image.

dust and paper particles:
