MULTILINK ML2400 ETHERNET COMMUNICATIONS SWITCH – INSTRUCTION MANUAL 9–11
It is recommended to enable the Link Loss Alert (LLA) feature on ports that are connected
to end devices. LLA should be disabled for switch ports connected in a ring.
The Link Loss Alert feature is enabled by default on 10 MB Fiber Optic ports, and disabled
by default on 100 MB Fiber Optic ports. It can be enabled and disabled via the
lla
parameter in the
setport command as follows:
setport port=<port#|list|range> [lla=<enable|disable>]
