Power button board
NOTE: The power button board cable is included in the power button board spare part kit, and is
also included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 709459-001.

For use only on computer models equipped with the Windows 8 Standard operating system 724350-501
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Remove the display assembly (see
Display assembly on page 26).
5. Remove the system board (see
System board on page 42).
Remove the power button board:
1. Turn the system board upside down, with the top toward you.
2. Remove the protective pad (1) that covers the power button board connector.
CAUTION: When removing the protective pad, make sure not to damage the connector (2) on
the system board.
3.
Disconnect the power button board cable (3) from the system board.
