WLAN antenna
NOTE: The WLAN antenna is included in the Antenna Kit, spare part number 709451-001.
Before removing the WLAN antenna, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the display assembly (see
Display assembly on page 26).
5. Remove the system board (see
System board on page 42).
6.
Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 54).
Remove the WLAN antenna:
1. Release the WLAN antenna transceiver (1) from the bottom case. (The WLAN antenna transceiver
is attached to the bottom case with double-sided adhesive.)
2.
Release the tabs (2) built into the bottom case that secure the WLAN antenna cables.
3.
Release the WLAN antenna cables (3).
4. Remove the WLAN antenna cables and transceiver.
Reverse this procedure to install the WLAN antenna.
