NOTE: The power connector cable spare part kit includes the bracket.

Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 46), and then remove the following components:
a.
Hard drive (see
Hard drive on page 47)
b.
Optical drive (see
Optical drive on page 54)
c. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 57)
d. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 61)
e. USB board (see
USB board on page 83)
f. Subwoofer (see
Subwoofer on page 84)
Remove the power connector cable:
1.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×5.5 screw (1) that secures the right edge of the system board to
the base enclosure.
2. Lift the right edge of the system board (2) until the power connector is accessible.
3. Release the power connector cable (3) from the clips(4) and routing channel built into
the base enclosure.
