Setting up the all-in-one product
Unbox and set up the product, using the product documentation and electronic device setup assistant.
Consider the following:
• Is the user documentation and installation and setup software helpful?
• How does the overall product design contribute to ease of setup?
• How well are you able to install and interact with supplies?
Testing product software
1 Note which platforms and printer languages the drivers support.
2 After you have installed drivers and other device software, print some test pages. Document any driver
or software changes performed during testing.
3 Evaluate the product software:
• Are the drivers easy-to-use?
• What special software or tools are available?
• What special features or utilities does each driver or tool include?
Interacting with the control panel
Try the various control panel functions. When comparing products, consider the following:
• In general, is the control panel easy to use?
• How easy is it to determine device, job, and print cartridge status?
• Can you easily make copies from the control panel?
• Can you electronically send documents and images from the control panel?
