SNMP configuration
The XP family of disk arrays and the SVS200 support standard Simple Net work Management Protocol
(SNMP) for remotely managing arrays. The SNMP agent on the ser vice processor (SVP) performs
error-reporting operations requested by the SNMP manag er. SNMP properties are usually set from the
SVP but they can also be set remotely using Comm a nd View (XP a rrays only) , Remote Web Console, or
Command View XP Advanced Edition. Refer to the applicable user’s guide for procedures.
RAID Manager command devices
RAID Manager m ana ges Business Copy (BC) or Continuous Access (CA) operations from a host server.
To use RA
ID Manager you must designate at least one LDEV as a command d evice. This can be done
with Command View (XP arrays only), Remote Web Console , or Command View XP Advanced Edition.
