Configuration Problems
Troubleshooting BIOS Problems
Clearing the CMOS
1 Turn off the PC Workstation, disconnect the power cord and data
cables, then remove the cover.
2 Set the system board switch 4 to the DOWN position to clear the
CMOS memory.
3 Replace the cover, and only reconnect the power cord.
4 Reboot the PC Workstation. A message similar to the following will
be displayed:
“Configuration has been cleared.
You can now:
Switch off the PC Workstation and remove the cover.
Reset the “Clear Configuration” switch to OFF (Up).
Replace the cover.
Switch on the PC Workstation and allow it to startup.
To modify the default configuration information:
press [F2] when prompted during self-test (POST), to
enter Setup.”
5 Turn off the PC Workstation, disconnect the power cord, and remove
the cover.
6 Set the system board switch 4 to the UP position to retain the
configuration.
7 Replace the cover, and reconnect the power cord and data cables.
8 Switch on the PC Workstation. Run the Setup program by pressing
. Then press , the CMOS default values will be automatically
downloaded and saved.
9 Press to save the configuration and exit from the Setup
program.
