3. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your computer and gently lay
it down so that the screen is against the surface and the cover is facing up.
4. Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 74.
5. Open the system board shielding. See “Opening the system board shielding” on page 75.
6. Locate the WIFI card. See “Locating parts on the system board” on page 71.
7. Remove the three screws that secure the WIFI card to the system board:
8. Carefully pull the WIFI card out of the computer.
Installing the WIFI card
To install a WIFI card, do the following:
1. Touch the static-protective package that contains the new WIFI card to any unpainted metal surface on
the computer, and then remove the WIFI card from the package.
2. Insert the WIFI card into the card slot, and then push it downward into the position.
