your Local Area Network.
Procedure

• The Default Server Name is shown on a sticker on the base of the device. It consists of
8 letters and/or digits.
• Record this name, it may be needed during configuration.
2. Connect the Printer
Connect the printer or plotter to the LevelOne Printer Server's printer port(s), as appropriate:
• FPS-3001TXU - Plug the FPS-3001TXU LevelOne Printer Server directly into the
parallel port on the printer.
• FPS-3002USB - Use the USB cable supplied with your printer to connect the printer to
the FPS-3002USB LevelOne Printer Server's USB port
• FPS-2112 - Use the USB printer cable supplied with your printer to connect the printer
to the FPS-2112 LevelOne Printer Server's USB port. Use a standard parallel port cable
to connect a printer to the parallel port.
Leave the LevelOne Printer Server powered OFF
while connecting it to the Printer(s) and the LAN.
3. Connect the Network Cable
Use a standard 100BaseT LAN cable to connect the LevelOne Printer Server to your LAN.
4. Power Up and Check
Plug in the power adapter cable, power up and check the LEDs.
• The Power LED should be On.
• The Status LED should flash, then turn Off. However, on the FPS-3002USB, the Status
(Red) LED will remain on if the FPS-3002USB LevelOne Printer Server can't connect
