5.7 Environmental Characteristics
◗ The operating temperature is 0 to 40°C (8 hours at 45°C), however optimum operation is within the +20 to +25°C
range and at 5-95% humidity, non-condensing at altitude up to 3280ft without de-rating.
◗ The storage temperature : -20 to 40°C. Humidity : 5-95%, non condensing.
◗ Battery backup time is adversely affected by high and low temperatures. It is significantly reduced at tempera-
tures under 10°C. Above 25°C, battery service life is cut in half every 10°C. Above 40°C, battery manufacturers
no longer guarantee operation due to the risk of thermal runaway.
◗ Air enters through the front air vent grills and exits through the back. Always keep air vent grills unobstructed.
