- ENGLISH
Basic Operation
Press the <ON/STAND-BY> button on the top 1 )
control or on the remote control, and
Power off?
appears on the screen.
Press the <ON/STAND-BY> button again to turn 2 )
off the projector. The <POWER> indicator starts
to blink red, and the cooling fans keep running.
At this time, you can unplug the AC power cord
even if the fans are still running.
When the projector has cooled down enough, 3 )
the <POWER> indicator stops blinking and you
can turn on the projecto
r.
Note
Do not put the projector in a case before the projector is
z
cooled enough.
While the <POWER> indicator is blinking, the lamp is
z
being cooled down and the projector cannot be turned
on. Wait until the <POWER> indicator stops blinking to
turn on the projector again
The projector can be turned on after the <POWER>
z
indicator turns red. The waiting time to restart will be
shortened when the normal power-off processing for fan
cooling is completed, compared with the time the AC
power cord is immediately unplugged after the power-off.
J
Direct Power Off function
Even if you turn on the <ON/STAND-BY> during
projection or just after the lamp turns off, the cooling
fan will continue to rotate using internally stored
power. In cases where the <ON/STAND-BY> switch
is not easily accessible, such as during ceiling mount,
you can safely turn off the power by using the power
breaker switch. This function also works if a power
outage occurs or if the power cable is accidentally
disconnected from the outlet right after turning the
power off.
Note
When using the Direct power Off function, you can
z
not restart the projector immediately after the power is
disconnected. The lamp remains high temperature and
needs to be cooled, so it sometimes takes longer time
than usual for the lamp to light up again.
While the cooling fan is operating, do not place the
z
projector inside a box or bag.
Turning Off the Projector
Power off?
disappears after 4 seconds.
