Figure 4-5 shows dual E_Ports connecting HA SANs. This configuration provides both Fibre Channel
switch and Fibre Channel link level failover protection. This topology can utilize both FCIP links without
requiring that the Fibre Channel switches E_Port load balance; that is, each Fibre Channel switch has only
one E_Port. The addition of a second pair of iSR6142s makes for a fully HA environment.
