1. Installation
Flash Select Setting for PBX
If your fax machine is connected to a PBX and the PBX uses the “Flash”
method to connect to an outside line, you must select the appropriate Flash
Select setting depending on whether your PBX line is a normal telephone line
or an ISDN line (or other high-speed line).
1 Press once and once.
2 Press once and 6 times.
3 Press once.
4 Select (SHORT TIME) if your PBX
line is a normal telephone line.
Select (LONG TIME) if your PBX
line is an ISDN line (or other high-
speed line).
5 Press to return to the date and time display.

Setting the Display Language
If desired, you can change the language used in the display, reports and lists.
German and English are available. Press the keys on the operation panel as
follows.:
1 Press once and once.
2 Press once and 4 times.
3 Press once.
