TheRavenusesSprintasanISP(InternetServiceProvider)to
connectyoutotheInternet.
Steps of a connection:
1. WhenyourRavenispoweredon,itautomaticallysearches
forcellularserviceusing1x.
2. YourRavenestablishesaPPP(PointtoPointProtocolor
“dial”upconnection)linktotheSprintnetwork,also
calledregisteringonthenetwork,andreceivesanIP
address.
3. WhenyourRavenhasreceiveditsIPaddressfromSprint,
aconnectiontotheInternetorthecellularnetworkisalso
availableforacomputerorotherdeviceconnecteddirectly
totheRaven.
