Expansion capabilities
There are four expansion slots at the rear of your VAIO computer:
❑ PCI Card slot containing the modem card
Users of PCV-RX306: Your model has a combined board containing a PCMCIA card as well as a modem.
❑ AGP slot containing the graphics card
Users of PCV-RX301: This slot is empty.
❑ Empty slot

The empty slots allow you the choice of adding to the expansion capabilities of your computer. See
Upgrading your VAIO computer (page 75) for more details.
You are strongly advised not to add hardware yourself. Please contact your local Sony dealer for advice on
changing the internal hardware components.
